My Story
I am an internationally trained lawyer from Colombia, currently practicing immigration law in Toronto, Canada. I hold a Bachelor of Civil Law B.C.L., (J.D. Equivalent) and a Postgraduate Degree in Taxation from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia, where I graduated in the top 10% of my class. I also studied a semester abroad in International and Comparative Law at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Bilingual in Spanish and English, I have developed expertise in various legal fields including immigration law, tax law, corporate law, and estate planning.

Before transitioning to immigration law, I worked for almost 5 years as a Tax Associate Lawyer at Lewin & Wills, a Tier 1 tax law firm in Colombia, where I advised clients on national and cross-border tax matters. I also led the creation of a digital platform to compare double taxation treaties.
In 2023, I relocated to Canada and joined Carvajal Law P.C., where I assist clients with complex immigration applications, including study permits, work permits, permanent residency, citizenship, and family sponsorships. My work often involves advising corporate clients on foreign recruitment and immigration compliance.

In Winter 2026, I will begin my LLM in Canadian Common Law at Osgoode Hall Law School - York University in Toronto, to continue my legal licensing in Canada. I am committed to continuous professional growth, staying updated on the latest trends in immigration law, and providing high-quality legal services to my clients.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, walking, cycling, practicing macrame art, and playing volleyball. I believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and continuously seek ways to grow both professionally and personally.
