My Story
Miho Kitamura is an Associate Lawyer at Carvajal Law, specializing in Canadian immigration law. Miho takes pride in providing comprehensive legal advice though a compassionate and understanding approach.
Prior to joining the firm, Miho worked at another full-service boutique immigration law firm, where she gained valuable experience and knowledge that she applies to her current role.
Miho graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. During her time in law school, Miho was actively involved in numerous extra-curricular activities, including a Pro Bono Students Canada placement with ACORN Ottawa, working as a research assistant studying the nexus between migrants, health, and belonging, and serving as the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers, University of Ottawa chapter.
Before pursuing law, Miho worked for an international development organization. She graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Global Development Studies, and minoring in Political Studies.
In her free time, you can find her strolling through the city in search of the perfect latte or uncovering the latest culinary hotspot.
