OINP Reaches 2018 Nomination Allocation

On November 9, 2018, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) announced that it reached its 2018 nomination allocation of 6,600 successful applicants. The program, which is operated by the Ontario government and works in partnership with the federal government, receives, assesses and nominates applicants for permanent residency within the province. Individuals who are successfully nominated by OINP are then able to apply for permanent residence through Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at the federal level.

The good news is that applications that are currently being processed and which are received going forward will be considered for OINP’s 2019 allocation. The exception to this will be the Masters Graduate Stream, which has been closed for registration since April of this year.
